Well - Hemsby Beach. After reading the reviews we were a little concerned taking a party of 7 teenagers on a half term break.

We had a Rio 'shed' and yes it was a little tired but spotlessly clean, beds made up on arrival and had everything there you need for a short break.

Once some of our party (who had never been to a place like this before)had got over their initial shock we had a great time. The site was clean and safe and the staff were all very friendly.

The standard of cleaning in the club house was excellent - better than many of the Haven sites we have been to.

The beach road shops and arcades are typical chips and slot machines but to be honest the kids loved it. It was safe enough to let them go out on their own.

Swimming pool was OK, evening entertainment was good and the bar prices were reasonable.

Best idea is to take slow cookers and really self cater - we fed 9 people for 5 days (proper home coked food) very cheaply (go to the big ASDA in Gt Yarmouth.)

Very good value for money if you enter into the spirit of the place.
